Culinary Business Academy Policy Information

The Culinary Business Academy provides proprietary educational materials and instruction. No educational materials will be released until full tuition payment is received or a payment plan is in place.

The materials provided by the Culinary Business Academy consist of valuable properties, trade secrets, and copyrights belonging to the Culinary Business Academy, embodying substantial creative efforts and confidential information, ideas and expressions. Except as expressly allowed, no part of these materials may be reproduced or transmitted in any form whatsoever, or by any means, be it electronic, mechanical, or otherwise, including photocopying and recording, or in connection with any information storage or retrieval system, without the prior written permission of the Culinary Business Academy. Materials may not be sold, donated or transferred without prior written permission of the Culinary Business Academy.

Deposits

  • Individuals may reserve space in an Undergraduate Course or Business Dynamics Program through a deposit. Full tuition is required for class start dates less than 45 days from date of enrollment. Contact the Culinary Business Academy for details.
  • Outstanding tuition balance will be collected 30 days prior to the class start date.
  • If final payment is not received 30 days prior to class date, your reserved space may be forfeited.

Changing a scheduled class

  • You may make schedule changes up to 30 days prior to the class start date.
  • Class schedule changes will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis if less than 30 days remains prior to start date. We understand that family emergencies, illness and other unavoidable circumstances do arise from time to time.
  • Please provide the Culinary Business Academy with as much notice as possible should an unavoidable event prevent you from attending a scheduled class. Tuition already paid may be applied to a future class.

Return Policy

Applicants may cancel their enrollment and receive a full refund of all monies paid to date if cancellation is made in writing to the Culinary Business Academy and received within 3 business days of the enrollment or purchase. Materials being returned, if any, must arrive postage paid and insured. Damaged materials will not have a refund processed until insurance settlements are completed.

Students may withdraw from enrollment if cancellation is made in writing to the Culinary Business Academy prior to beginning instruction on the following schedule:

Personal Chef Quick Start Program

  • Prior to beginning of classroom instruction – Culinary Business Academy will retain 5% of tuition fees or $100, whichever is less. All training materials must be returned to Culinary Business Academy in like-new condition prior to a refund being issued.
  • After instruction has begun, there will be no refunds allowed.

Personal Chef Business Dynamics Program

  • Prior to beginning of classroom instruction – Culinary Business Academy will retain 5% of tuition fees or $100, whichever is less. All training materials must be returned to Culinary Business Academy in like-new condition prior to a refund being issued.
  • After classroom instruction has begun:
    • For withdrawals at noon on first day, Culinary Business Academy will retain 50% of tuition and fees paid.
    • For withdrawals after first day, Culinary Business Academy will retain 75% of tuition and fees paid.
    • There will be no refunds for withdrawals after noon on the second day.

Personal Chef Undergraduate Course

  • Prior to beginning of classroom instruction – Culinary Business Academy will retain 5% of tuition fees or $100, whichever is less. All training materials must be returned to Culinary Business Academy in like-new condition prior to a refund being issued.
  • After classroom instruction has begun:
    • For withdrawals by noon on first day, Culinary Business Academy will retain 10% of tuition and fees paid.
    • For withdrawals after first day, Culinary Business Academy will retain 50% of tuition and fees paid.
    • For withdrawals after second day, Culinary Business Academy will retain 75% of tuition and fees paid.
    • There will be no refunds for withdrawals after noon on the third day.

Any training materials issued must be returned to the Culinary Business Academy. Materials being returned, if any, must arrive postage paid and insured. Damaged materials will not have a refund processed until insurance settlements are completed. Refunds will be made within 30 calendar days of the date Culinary Business Academy receives a written request for refund.

Testing  

  • Undergraduate Course students will be required to pass four written exams during their training.
  • Business Dynamics Program students will be required to pass three written exams in class and one online exam to complete the program.
  • Quick Start Program and Home Study Program students will be required to pass three online exams.
  • Each test is closed book and will have a one-hour time limit.
  • On-line tests are requested to be completed within six months of program purchase.
  • A $25 fee will be charged for each retest should a test be failed.

Upgrade Policy  

  • Students enrolled in the Home Study Program or Quick Start Program may upgrade to the Undergraduate Course by paying the difference in tuition.
  • Students enrolled in or who have completed the Undergraduate Course may upgrade to the Ultimate Program by paying the difference in tuition. Contact Culinary Business Academy for details.
  • Any additional training materials involved will be sent or delivered in person prior to or at the actual class. Shipping and handling fees will be assessed if materials are delivered prior to the new class.

Financial Aid  

  • The Culinary Business Academy does not offer tuition assistance.
